Hi, I’m Bill … Glad to meet you!

I’m a 56 year old musician from the South East of England.

I’m guessing that’s classed as ‘middle-aged’ … I started playing the guitar at the age of 15 and by the age of 22 in 1986, I was playing professionally, earning a living, both good and bad at times … but here’s the thing … music has been the thread through my life from a young age.

I’ve always written songs, good songs that nobody has really heard. I have loads of them! I even have a self released album with Clash Drummer Topper Headon playing on a track!

To add to the mix, I was raised from the age of 9 in children’s homes and foster care, I will share these experiences also.

I’m a Dad, a Grandad, I’ve been married, divorced, I’ve been rich, I’ve been poor and I’ve loved and I’ve lost … but I’m still standing! I’ve sung to thousands, met famous people and  been on TV!

So this blog / website is for telling some of my story, sharing a little of my life and music,  being an independent artist  / DIY musician, with a bit of van life thrown in … and hopefully inspiring others with some of these experiences along the way.

I’ve travelled the world, I still love to travel, whether it’s flying abroad or in my trusty van ‘Ivan’ (The Credible) … I will share this also.

So if you’re feeling washed up at 50 plus … too old, too tired to make music, travel, follow your dreams … Think again! … just do it! … Whatever ‘it’ is! …   … Come along for the ride, the waters may be choppy and the tires may be flat at times … but what the hell! … Let’s do this!
